How our Business Coaching works

A clear, repeatable process that takes you from first conversation to measurable results in about four months.

Step by step

Every engagement follows the same five phases. Here is what happens in each one.

1. Discovery call (30 minutes, free)

We get on a video or phone call and you tell us what is going on. Revenue plateau? Team friction? Burnout? We listen, ask a few pointed questions, and decide together whether coaching is the right fit. About half the people who call us are a good match; the other half we refer to specialists who can help them better, such as accountants or HR consultants. No hard sell.

2. Business diagnostic (week 1-2)

If we move forward, we send you a short questionnaire covering your financials, team structure, customer acquisition channels, and how you spend a typical week. We review your last 12 months of profit-and-loss data and your current pipeline. This diagnostic takes about two hours of your time, spread across a couple of days. We then compile a one-page summary of findings, highlighting two or three areas where changes will have the largest impact on your bottom line.

3. Strategy session (week 3)

We meet for a 90-minute working session, either in person at our Québec City office or over video. During this session we co-create your 90-day action plan. Each item on the plan has a specific owner, a deadline, and a metric we can track. For example: "Increase average deal size from $4,200 to $5,000 by adding a premium tier to the proposal template. Owner: you. Deadline: week 6. Metric: average invoice value." The plan typically contains five to eight items.

4. Weekly coaching calls (weeks 4-16)

Every week we meet for 45 minutes. The first ten minutes are a scorecard review: did you hit last week's targets? The next 25 minutes focus on the single biggest obstacle you are facing right now. The final ten minutes set your priorities for the coming week. Between calls, you can message us with quick questions. We respond within four business hours during weekdays.

5. Quarterly review and next steps (end of month 4)

We compare your current numbers to the baseline we captured in the diagnostic. Revenue, profit margin, hours worked per week, team satisfaction score. You get a written report showing what moved and what did not. Then we decide together: continue for another quarter, shift to a lighter monthly check-in, or wrap up. About 60% of our clients continue for a second quarter; the rest feel confident running on their own.

What you need to bring

We handle the framework. You bring the raw material.

Your financial data

We need access to your profit-and-loss statement for the past 12 months. If you use QuickBooks, Xero, or Wave, a shared read-only login works. If you use spreadsheets, a copy of the file is fine. We do not need access to your bank account.

Two hours a week

The 45-minute call plus about an hour of implementation work between calls. Some weeks will be heavier if you are rolling out a new process or having a difficult conversation with a team member. But on average, two hours is the commitment.

Honest answers

Coaching only works when you are candid about what is happening. If cash flow is scary, say so. If you hate managing people, say that too. We are not here to judge; we are here to fix problems, and we can only fix the ones we know about.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the things people ask most often before signing up.

How much does coaching cost?
Our standard four-month engagement is $3,200 per month, billed at the start of each month. That includes weekly calls, between-call messaging, and the diagnostic and quarterly review. We also offer a lighter monthly check-in package at $1,200 per month for clients who have completed at least one full engagement.
Do you work with businesses outside Quebec?
Yes. About 40% of our clients are in other Canadian provinces. All coaching calls happen over video, so location does not matter. The only difference is that our in-person strategy session would be replaced by a longer video session.
What industries do you specialize in?
Most of our clients run service-based businesses: consulting firms, marketing agencies, trades companies, clinics, and professional practices. We have also worked with e-commerce brands and small manufacturers. If your business has between 3 and 50 employees and generates at least $300,000 in annual revenue, we can probably help.
Can I cancel mid-engagement?
Yes. Give us 14 days written notice and you stop being billed from the next month. We do not charge cancellation fees. In four years of operation, fewer than 5% of clients have cancelled early.
